101 Master Bedroom A soothing aura is conceived in the sleeping quarters with the calming colour palette. Vinyl flooring is well paired with a cool paint shade for the feature wall. This accent colour helps to minimise the visual distractions of the recessed wall and air- conditioner piping while framing the bedframe with a gorgeous Nordic flair. Kitchen A warm-looking ensemble of wood-look surfaces such as the homogeneous tiles and KompacPlus countertops fills the kitchen with a cosy Scandinavian appeal. Besides the usual counter and overhead cabinetry, the design team also worked in shelving for the homeowners to display their favourite artwork. This adds colour and creates a spacious effect as there is less visual bulk. It also highlights the tonal colour and textures of the marble- effect tiles on the backsplash. Dining Area Melding the existing structural fixtures such as the curved columns and cornices in the dining area with the Scandinavian aesthetic was another design challenge faced by Rex and his team. With some ingenuity, he designed a full-height storage fixture to fit in well with the columns spatially and aesthetically. This also serves as a functional visual point to anchor the dining area.
